You don't say what kind of engine it is. Or what horsepower it developed.

If you are shopping for a new engine of any brand to fit that mower you will also need to know:

1. The diameter and length of the crankshaft. And sometimes the width of the keyway.

2. Amp output of the charging system. (very important if yours has an electric clutch)

3. What other electrical devices do you have on the old engine, such as
A. fuel solenoid on the carburetor
B. Oil sending unit?
C. Other?

4. Your old engine is probably carbureted, but you need to know for sure, because fuel supply requirements are different on engines with fuel injection. Oh-and you need to know if the replacement engine needs a fuel pump on it.
