Needs clean carburetor, good spark, antifreeze, lots of oil, and a strong cranker. See if it has a belt pulley on it. Might be best way to get it running. Do not attempt to tow in gear. The worm gears in rear end can't be driven that way without damage. You'll need a 6volt battery to apply voltage to the coil box for starting. A dry cell battery will do. Timer could be greasy and not functioning properly. You should hear the coils buzzing at each stroke. [Reply]  [No Email]
mikeintn 01-08-2013 15:01:50 67.223.9.183 Report to Moderator	Re: Fordson in reply to cdmn, 01-08-2013 12:09:21   I went and looked at it, it looks like its a 1920 going by serial #, I thought it should have a coil box, but it had a mag. on the bottom right side of engine, it does have a belt pulley, it wasnt running and I didnt try to start it, I thought it was alittle over priced.
