We'd love to have something like this for our local farm museum to use on its Fordson Model F in our "living history" demos.
Biggest problem (besides the high initial asking price) is the distance involved; we're over 1200 miles away. Does anybody have experience shipping something of this nature? Can it be strapped to a pallet? Estimated cost? Do freight charges depend on weight, dimensions, or a combo of both? Anything this big I've ever bought, I went and picked it up myself (and paid with good ol' U.S. greenbacks).
I can also understand (given the history of scammers and CraigsList) some sellers being reluctant to deal with anyone who says "I'll have my agent contact you."
Would appreciate hearing any thoughts you folks would care to share.

| Check the hauling schedule on the left side of this page. Might be someone coming back with an empty pickup truck. |
