| In 1985 I kept the road open and towed the Ice Road Truckers on the MacKenzie River for 400 miles moving an oilwell and at -55 F you wouldn't want to be there with that tractor .This was a much more hazardous road than going to the diamond mines .we had to cross the black water river about 1/8 miles wide in 5-6 ft of water as it froze to the ground and then came down the top of the ice .The truckers use to put skies on there trucks to go in the deep snow .
