If you just got it and the oil is like 80-90, I'd pull the pan just to have a good look around. Most likely it'll have an inch or so of gunk in the bottom that'll need to go.
Its probably not a good sign it has such heavy oil in it, maybe that was a previous owners way of quieting down a worn engine and dropping the pan will give you a chance to look at the bearings and see if they are loose. Hopefully you can take some shims out to tighten things up.
Id try some 10-30wt.
No oil filter, hell, it doesnt even have an oil pump! Its all splash,gravity, luck & prayer...
