There were two axles used on E27N. One was adjustable and the other wasn't. It looks as if you have the adjustable axle which was indeed carried over and used on the E1A majors. I BELIEVE they are identical. Initially they were all cast iron hub/wheel complete, however I know that other hubs would fit that stub axle. In fact I think when they went over to pressed steel wheels the stub axles remained the same.(I'll take advice on that one) MTF |

| | You have answered a question I've had for a while. My E27N has the adjustable axle but with 6-bolt wheel hubs. The hubs fit the spindles and axles perfectly. I suspected the hubs are from a Fordson New Major. Wish it still had the cast wheels for authenticity, but I'm sure they were changed to use a more standard 16" tires. Know of any good sources for E27N parts if I decide to put it back to cast wheels (and for other misc parts)? |
