This one, by appearances has been fractured about half way through for quite some time. I was pushing frozen snow banks back yesterday... and I don't remember if it happened when I heaved a good size frozen lump or when the front end dropped in the ditch and I was rocking around trying to get out... The nature of how a 7410 loader is mounted... it can give a pretty good snap upwards on the front of the bolster when the loader really takes a push. This one... I believe is now going to get full framed from arse to teakettle. THe bolster is actually not all that strong in the middle where it needs to be strong for that loader setup. At this point I've only searched locally and with Fawcett's who are also doing a N/A wide search for me... but I've more or less made up my mind to braze it anyway. Just because I can... I'll take some pics when I get it torn down. Right now I've got to chain up my skid loader as we've got another mess coming. Rod |

| Back in the mid 80s my old cousin left his NF Allis 'C' parked on a slope out of gear. Tractor rolled down the hill and hit a stump. Broke the pedestal off of it. He took it apart and I veed it out good and brazed it back up for him. A little grinding/sanding, some Orange paint and you could hardly see the repair. Tractor is still running. Old cousin is gone but his son has it now. Son didn't know it had been repaired till I showed it to him a couple of years ago. |
