Pump bolts on side motor and runs off flywheel. Pulled pump off, looks good,.. primed pump and put it back on still nothing works. I just got tractor the way it is so have no idea how it happened of started to go bad. Was told could be O rings on valve? or O rings where the cast tube bolts to rear end under the tractor? Was hopeing be easy fix with out alot of taking apart.. There is a plug on top pump, guessing for priming? can a guage be put in there and see if pressure for the pump to be working for sure? Thanks for any help..

| | get an fo-20 service manual.. you are shooting in the dark... pump runs off CAM.. not ring gear.. if ther unloader is stuck.. you will not be able to pressure test her yet, as she will be constantly dumping oil to sump till you get her to move. might be as simple as pulling top cover and manually manipulating and inspecting parts... etc.. soundguy

| First as JMOR said the pump runs off the cam shaft and is internal as for oiling that gear drive. The pipe plug on the pump is for priming the pump. As for a pressure gauge there is a test port on the flat plate under the seat. Sounds like one of the best things you can do is buy a FO-20 IT manual so you have a better idea what things are

| Quoting Removed, click Modern View to seeGauge at that point is OK, once you realize that the pressure is normal at as little as 40PSI and as high as 2000, depending on 3 point load & touch control command position. Better to remove plug & crank engine over to see if oil comes out. If not apply air compressor blow gun to hydraulic dipstick hole and see if you can make pump prime.
P.S. pump is driven off of a gear on rear of cam shaft, not off of flywheel.
