For a 4 cylinder 2000, that's a very late 1964 serial number, maybe even into 1965, as they did still make the 4 cylinder models into 1965, even though they were still called "1964" models. So if it was made on the same assembly line as the 3 cylinders, after they had started making the 3 cylinders, then maybe the person that was stamping the numbers got confused and stamped 3 numbers on that one instead of 2, but that still doesn't explain the G at the end of the model number, or the date code that appears to be a 1966 code, but 21111 would be a 1963 and newer 2000 offset with a 4 speed transmission and non-live PTO. Is that the transmission that it has?
Another possibility for the 3 numbers is that the transmission was replaced at some point and that date code was the date that the replacement transmission was made, and whoever stamped it at the dealership when the transmission was replaced stamped the G at the end of the model number by mistake. |
