Sounds good! Here is my 901, I am thinking of putting 6000 sheet metal on my 9000 and entering it in enhanced classes. What do you think? |

| I used to have a 5000 chassis with 456Tcid in it with 6000 sheet metal and starts out much lighter and pulled better than the 9000 we used to have I still wish I had our pullers but maybe again when my two girls are old enough to do it like dad did with my brother and I. |

| Keep us informed of your progress of the 6000 motor in the 971. We have always kicked around that idea to do some pulling with. Do you have any pictures of the pullers you had? We pulled a couple of 6000's one of them we put the 363 dorsett motor in. |

| We never did get any photos of them, we started pullin in the outta the field class with 9000 in 1979, built the 5000 in 85 when I was 8. It is a good thing they called it that back then cause they sure wouldn't live long out in a field! Also had a 960 that grandad used to pick corn with that I started out pulling at 10. By fourteen I drove one of the bigger two, and the more iron we hung the better we did. By 16 my little brother was pullin the 9000 and I had the 5000 all to myself. My senior year we were at a pull and an old boy from Missouri talked my dad into sellin, he made him a package deal everything but the semi tractor. But it was like sellin a classic car, later on you're kickin yourself. Wish dad knew the guys name to see how he did with them, we sure have a collection of trophies at the shop. |
