The row crops are better suited for snow than the utillity style. The utillity will not My neighbor, Jay when he was alive, had an 801 diesel. Two or three times I had to pull him out of a snow drift because his 801 got high centered. He had fluid in his tires and chains on his 801. My 4000 has no weights, chains, or fluid in the tires. The wheels do spin once in a while when I'm backing out of the snow pile. I've never been stuck. My 4000 is a select-o-speed. It works really well for snow. It shifts easy and fast in cold weather and the hydraulics work very well. I used to move snow with an IH 706. The 4000 will run circles around the IH. |
