j riddle 12-08-2012 19:01:01 198.45.188.48 Report to Moderator	set for 2 days then ran 2 hrs today and it was about 3/4 qt overfull- getting fuel in oil- this is what i have done so far ::R&R injector pump & replaced drive shaft cup seals,R&R return line tank fitting and checked for standpipe to be broken off, R&R valve cover & checked fuel retun line and fitting on injectors, running and dead, fond nothing wrong, have got in shop now with pan off letting set hoping to see something from below, - any suggestions with be greatly appreciated, thanks [Reply]   [No Email]
j riddle 12-09-2012 16:55:54 198.45.188.48 Report to Moderator	Re: 801 workmaster diesel- fuel in oil- help !! in reply to j riddle, 12-08-2012 19:01:01   thanks guys, - ok- her"s where i"m at, it set with the pan off from yesterday about 500 pm until a few minutes ago, i checked several times today and just got back, no fuel leaking down anywhere, all i found was residual oil drops, couldn"t detect any fuel whatsoever, so, now i"m thinking maybe one injector not atomizing good, getting a bad burn, and then leaking into the cly, after it"s shut off- what you think ?? lan on leaving the pan off another day or so , just to be sure. RBnSC 12-09-2012 04:58:23 76.73.221.117 Report to Moderator	Re: 801 workmaster diesel- fuel in oil- help !! in reply to j riddle, 12-08-2012 19:01:01   This week I pull the shaft out of a pump like yours that had been rebuilt and found they had mess up the O ring and the top cup seal was folded back over the bottom seal. It came in a 941 that i bought and parted out. The PO had the pump rebuilt and never got it running. I kept the engine and it had broken rings and was in bad shape. All that to say it could still be the seals on the shaft. It sounds like you are doing the best thing dropping the pan to get an idea where it is coming from anyway it is what I would have done. When they get worn pretty good the nozzles will drip the excess fuel down on to the top of the pistons over night or when they stand a few days .Had this happend a few times and when i had the injectors tested they showed up to be leaking past the tips .Hope this helps you out [Reply]  [No Email]
