Why would my hydraulic pump centre housing crack right in line with the lining pins on my Ford 8600 tractor? It is pump number FD5NN600C. I changed pump. Is there a check valve or something else I should check so this will not happen with my new pump. |

| Any more info? The center rear housing that it bolts onto should be supporting it so that it doesn't get any stress, unless there was a problem on the surface that it bolts up to. |

| Have you checked the relief valve setting. You need a 3-4000 PSI gauge connected to a hose and a pioneer fitting. Plug it onto the remote output and check at a certain RPM. I believe it should be 2250 (manual not in front of me) PSI and every .010" of shim added is 100 PSI to the output pressure in the relief valve. |

| Pin misalignment? Overtorque? Hard to say really. Those system relief valves are pretty reliable. Do you have a pic you could show us? |
