I am adding a new ballast voltage reduction resistor when converting to 12v and I am using a 12v coil. Should I still be using the original ignition ballast resistor ? If so, should the new resistor be located before input to the original ignition resister or after the original ignition resistor ? Thanks in advance. [Reply]   [No Email]

DO NOT USE the additional 12V-to-6V converting resistor. Understand?? 1-resistor ONLY!!! Do you know what you gitt when you connect a 12V coil in series (like flashlite batterys) with a 12V-to-6V converting resistor??? WEAK SPARKIES!!! Points are still set at 0.015" on the kitchen table. use same condenser. (its good fer 100V) Recommend AutoLite 437 sparkies gapped to 0.025" ........Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister who knows 8-ways to convert to 12V and they all work the first time [Reply]  [No Email]
