On my ford 641, the position / draft control knob does not stay up, I think it is operating in draft control only.Is there an adjustment to set this? The hydraulics work fine and respond fine otherwise. |

| Quoting Removed, click Modern View to seeYes. In Draft, the touch control lever will be almost "digital', i.e., on/off or it will lift or drop, whereas in Position control it will act more linear, i.e., raise the lever a little, the lift will raise a little, lower the lever a little , the lift will lower a little. It will not be all or nothing but more proportional. |

sorry, it has been a while and a lot of "other" stuff going on (trying to build a garage).
Yes it is a lever not a knob...
It does hold two positions but they are about 30 degrees apart, one is parallel to the lift plate and the other one is about 30 degrees up. both positions appear to do the same thing when lifting an implement. From the manual it appears that they should be at a right angle for the two positions.
Is there a good test to tell if it is in draft vs. position when just lifting an implement? - I understand when plowing it will act different
Still learning a lot! |

| | You will have to go into the lift housing to see what is up. Could be one of the small pins that hold the latch together that changed between draft and position. Or could be the cam follower pin is lost or worn completely through etc. Zane |

| There are two detents machined into the shaft that the Position/Draft control lever is attached to. A spring loaded ball drops into each detent holding the lever in the desired position as it is changed from Position to Draft or vice versa. |

| Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see"Rexaxed" or default position should be Position control, i.e., against spring force when moving the lever should be Draft control. A mechanical latch, so I don't see an 'adjustment'. Maybe lever has slipped on shaft? |
