The steering wheel does not rise when turned left or right. Do you have to remove the hood to get to the box lube bolt? Where is the backlash adjustment screw? Please understand I am not a mechanic. Thanks!

| | you may not be a mechanic.. but you now own a piece of equipment that must be maintained. you need to get an owners and service manual. I told you EXACTLY where to find the plug ( not bolt ) in the top cover of the steering box. opening the hood and merely looking in you should be able to follow my directions. teh backlash adjustments are on the back side of the sector shafts.. IE..the stud sticking out the oval covers onthe sides of the box... lube first before you do anything.. I reccomend NLGI 0 or 00 ep grease..
