Well the Red Cote treatment was not the problem. My tractor was running rough and I assumed that it was still rust in the fuel system. So, I changed the filter and it looked good, checked fuel to the pump and injectors and it was good. I then pulled the top off the pump( Cav) and it had some rust under the cover. Now I flushed the pump and cleaned it up and it still runs rough and quits. Looks like I am going to have to pull the injectors and hope that is the problem and hope it did'nt screw up the pump. Any good ideas would be appreciated as to how to clean the injectors, or anything else for that matter. Thanks, Ed1 |

| Also I am getting fuel to the injectors, so I'm thinking that the injectors are clogged. |

| | Make sure there is fresh oil in the crankcase of the injector pump. I drain and refill mine every oil change. My pump also had some broken springs inside it. I got it rebuilt. |

| The Cav pump is a rotary pump and does not have oil in it. I understand that it is lubed by the fuel. |

| Ok, what's the best way to clean the injectors and if I have to rebuild the pump, who would you recommend? Probably going to take them out tomorrow. So any hints would be appreciated. Thanks, Ed1 |

| | run a can of BG 44k injector cleaner through it.. then... take a wrench and loosen the injector lines one at a time and see which cyl does not affect the running. Then at least your looking at the right place. however these engines will sound rough at certain speeds till you load them.. |
