I have a 1956 860 with 210 original hours as far as I know. I have it listed locally and have tried Internet but I am not getting any serious bites. Tires are in great shape, runs great everything works. It has been converted to 12 volt. It has a dual remote hydraulic on it currently set up with a single one way. Only problem is rear fenders need replacing. Any thoughts on price? Thanks in advance. |

| Thanks everyone for the responses. I had it listed at $3100. Clutch pedal still has the dimples on it as do he Burke pedals. It does not have power steering butbecteering is tight and it steers pretty easy. I have worked on some other rods with loose steering so I know what that involves. I will keep it listed for a while. I am not in a big hurry to give it away yet. Would be nice to get my truck back in the barn before winter though. I am in Michigan. Thanks again. |

| | In the last year I bought a 1955 850 with original meter still in it showing an even 400 hours. The rpm gauge still works, but the hour meter does not. I have another 850 that has been through 4 proofmeters in about 8 years. The aftermarket replacement meters don't last very long. I'm guessing your 210 hour meter is a fairly recent replacement. As Soundguy said, post a pic of the clutch pedal. A 210 hour tractor's clutch pedal will show almost no wear. If that pedal top surface is smooth, you know it has LOTS more than 210 hours. The 850 I bought last January cost me $1900 and it looks nice. Has some minor issues that I'm working through, but is usable as is. Fenders are nice. Just for comparison. I don't know where you are or what you're asking. |

| | It is quite common for the hour meter to fail leaving the tachometer fully functional. Dean |

| When you advertise, skip the hours. Most people will not believe 210 hours in 56 years.
Post good pictures of the rims and tires to show they're in good shape, and
pictures of the hydraulics so people can call them as they see/know them.
"Two remotes" to me means four hoses, but to some "one remote" is a
single hose, like on the old Farmalls and Allis Chalmers.
An 860 would have live PTO via the dual clutch setup over an 850 and
that may be a selling point to someone wanting to run PTO driven equipment.
It would also have live hydraulics, another selling point to advertise possibly.
Does it have power steering?
Around here, without seeing it, I'd say $3000 to $3500, but then I saw an 850
sell for $2000 a few weeks ago. It had power steering but it didn't work.
I didn't get there fast enough and it was gone! |

| Hour meter works fine and did not require any work when I got it. They were pretty good on most other maintenance so do not think it was changed or tampered with. Like I said may not be original but I don't think it has many hours on it either way. |

| It all depends on what area you're in. I paid $3200 for my 860 and yours sounds like it's in tip-top shape....Ray, NE Oh. |

| | 210 original hours is simply not believeable. That said, a decent 860 with good tires and a remote hydraulic valve (you are aware that a dual remote valve has two spools, two handles and 4 hydraulic connections?) but needing fenders should bring $3000 - $3500 in my area. Dean |

| I wish I could get verification of hours. The place I got it from did not use it much except for some mowing. It was a state farm. It hadn't been used for a while and sat inside. Even if hours are not right the tractor is in really good shape except for fenders. |

| Bob. I recently missed out on a nice 851 with 1200 actual Hrs. I did get to look at it and the one thing I remember is how tight the steering was. Hardly any play at all. 210 Hrs. is hard to believe, but not impossible! Check the steering. Even though it's 56 years old, with 210 hrs. the steering should be tight with no play!! GT65 |
