Pour cold water over the round end of the injector pump where the fuel input line comes from the filter. IF it immediately starts similar to the 20 minute cool down, the pump has mature wear on the internal race ring and pickup lobe contact area.

This test isolates the injector pump wear from expanded cylinder ring wear that results in low compression. Injector pump premature wear from low sulfer fuels in older pumps without an uprated hardened pump ring is common in Bosch and Standadyne rotary pumps. In military equipment, we have seen high failures in all rotary injector pump with low suffer fuel.

Wayne i am thinking that it might be my problem is i have low compression i am not sure of the hour's on the tractor i tried the water test alittle bit ago know change it puffs out of the oil filler it seems like you wine on it and it will fire over afer when so much compession has bilt up.

when it shuts down, have you tried bleeding the injector lines and checking fuel flow right then / tank vacume as well?
