If you did a lot of work on these tractors wouldnt it be a convenient place to bolt a rolling stand so that the front end wouldnt flop over when the machine was split? Bet someone on this forum has done this and has plans, diagrams etc. Anyway, I plan to put bolts in these holes to keep mud and "dirtdobbers" out. I remember my dad had a small toolbox on his tractor mounted on the left and it was very convenient for stowing stuff from your pockets that you didnt want to have to sit on all day. Thought it would be neat to make a bracket and put one on. He also had a bottle opener bolted to the fender at the rear of the tractor.. so that the tobacco primers could open their bottled pepsis when they had a break in the shade. |

| won't work for that.. but is a good spot for a tool box. my 3000 has one mounted there, as well as my 5000. |

| | yep.. holes are on the bellhousing.. not block. to keep the block from laying over you cut wood wedges and drive them into the axle stops at the front. |
