Put the tin back on it, hooked up the mower and worked it pretty good for about an hour at 1600rpm. Temperature stayed on the cool side of the center of gauge.
The hour meter ticked over and now I know four of the six digits are working. Still thinking these are original hours on this one but I have to wait 900 hours to get another data point.
Quieter with the new muffler, and seems to idle better.
But the best news.. I think I bounced it around enough to get the fuel sender working!!! I knew the gauge was good, and have a new sender ready to be installed but I guess I don't need it now!

| One dog sees the camera and poses. (That's the one you see in the pics). The other dog sees the camera and runs to me.. usually you just catch a tail in picture.
Both seemed to be pretty cautious of the tractor, which I guess is a good sign.
Horses don't mind the tractor itself (especially the ex-racehorse) but they all seem to uniformly dislike the flail mower. Noisy and it doesn't throw any clippings in their direction like the side discharge lawnmower does.. |

| I was wrong.. the next digit should roll in 90 hours. That will take me a few months for sure, maybe into next year. |

| 900 hours would be 2 1/2 to 3 years' use on my 4600. From what I've seen, if you have 4 digits rolling, they all likely will. |

That is great news!
900 tractor hours will take a lo-o-o-o-o-ong time!
