I made some calls today, curious about finding some R3 13.5 X 28 Turf Tires for my tractor. While they CAN be found, it seemed that most places I called were out of them or they were back ordered indefinitely. I found a few places that had some used ones.
Just curious....is there really a "lack of supply" on Turf Tires, or was it just coincidental to the places I called? |

| Hi John,
Just a typo on the 13.5. I meant 13.6. I did call the KS and OK places....and they did have some blemished ones. Thanks for the suggestion. |

| | A lot of that stuff in the older sizes is no longer made in the main line tire manufacturers anymore. Quite often you need to go to china made tires... Galaxy/Primex, Mitas, etc are suppliers to try for oddball sizes today. Also try a size up or a size down in width... provided it's not a FWD tractor. If it is, more study will be needed on sizing. | I haven't called these folks or dealt with them, but I did find and bookmark their site a month ago when I was poking around looking for R3 diamond tread prices. (There was a guy in OH selling a pair of Denmans for $200 or so which seemed like a great deal).

If you're not near Ohio shipping may kill you, but maybe this helps.

| Tire backorders are all to common, and some sizes are out of stock more often than others. |

| | I would think (but really do not know) that diamond R3 tractor tires and R3 implement tires would be the same thing. No shortage of demand for those tires especially in farm country. Are you really looking for R3 13.5 X 28 or are you mistaken and really wanted R3 13.6 x 28. Funny none of the tire dealers you called caught that. I would think that place in Kansas and Nebraska would both have those tires. I think one is nebraska tire and the other is tire city or tire town. The one in kansas sells blems so if you can do without a perfect looking tire and a sound blem will do you might check them out. I have never used either place but have seen their sites on the web. |

| Tucker Tire has a pair of 12.4x28 (which is the original size tire for your 641D) for $731 delivered to you but these are tires only- no rims or tubes. |

| | No, but, rather a lack of demand. Due to lack of demand, manufacturers make them only infrequently. Dean |
