| Two stage clutch means live PTO, first stage of letting out the clutch half way engages only the PTO, and the second stage of letting it out all of the way also engages the transmission. So if what the seller says is accurate it would be a 660. |

| The instrument panel or dash ( as I call it) come up on Ebay from time to time. I'd hang out there for a while until you see one. Prices are usually reasonable. The hood is a bit more challenging, They show up on Ebay, but are a bit pricey. Might take a while, but you'll find some.
I have a 660 (5 speed with live PTO), happy to help if I can. |

| | It could be a 600 with a 5-speed and no live PTO (a model 650) or with live PTO (a model 660). Take a look at the flat spot on the transmission housing just aft of the starter. You should find two rows of numbers -- the top row will be the model number and the bottom row will be the serial number. With the serial number, you can click on "Serial Numbers" on the left side of the page and figure out what year the tractor (or at least the transmission)was built. If by "cowl" you mean the front grille, they're available new but pricey. The hoods are only available used at salvage yards, other parts tractors, or ebay, although Dennis Carpenter's catalog says they're tooling up to produce hoods someday. Good luck. Ray |
