This past spring season I installed my remote valve on the topcover to control my hydraulic toplink. Love that toplink with the mower & the blade!I used the same orings from the blank cover when I installed the valve, but it constantly oozes oil under load from the back edge of the valve's base plate. Pretty sure those orings were in the gasket kit. Ordered a replacement set from CNH this week. Hopefully, that will stop the seepage. That reminds me, I lost a spool plug from the old remote valve on my MF165. It seems like a simple 1/2" diameter x 1/2" hollow steel plug w/ an oring groove. A c-clip holds it in the bore. Anybody got an idea where to look for such a thing? I've attached a shot of the plug below... Jeff

| | Anybody got an idea where to look for such a thing? A machinist can whip one out on a lathe but it will be expensive for what it is- nothing but a plug. |

| | I expect that you have solved your leak. Routinely I would have leaks when using the O rings in the inexpensive gasket sets. These problems vanished when I started buying O rings from CNH about 15 years ago. All of vintage Fords (excepting 8Ns) have remote valves and none of them leak. Dean |
