anybody kmow what that crawler was ford made in like the 60s they didnt make to many its like the size of a jd 350 thanks

I don't think Ford made any crawlers. I think it was another company that bought Ford 5000 drivetrains to build into a crawler. There was a picture posted here of them some time back. An archive search may find it.

C'mon you Ford guys, I saw one at the Ageless Iron expo several years ago when that show was held in Ankeny, Iowa. It was based on the earlier 4000 tractor, had the SOS tranny, and was painted Ford industrial yellow. And yes, it was built by a company that bought the power unit from Ford, and then installed it on their own crawler chassis.

There were also versions based on the Major/Super
Major... I believe County and Roadless both made
them. And probably a couple versions based on the
old steel-wheeled Fordsons.

Hello Rusty , The Ford Crawler you have seen is brought to shows by Dwight Emstrom but not owned by him it is on loan from another collector . It is one of three Crawlers built and the only one known to survive . Unfortunately the Blade , winch and rops were left in Oregon where the Crawler was found and never brought back with it . It is based on the Ford 4040 HD Industrial with S-O-S and a modified 6000 rear axle sitting on Holt / Caterpillar tracks , steering is done with Ford 6000 brakes . Thanks Tony
