Did you ever connect your Foothrottle. If so how much tweeking did you have to do?Where did you end up putting it.One other thing Im kinda concerned about is do you think the linkage will wallow out at the holes.I guess only time will tell.Did you use the chain part on yours. On mine I left off the chain because it looked like it only connected back to the hand lever.. Also has anyone here connected one lately....Thanks R.M. In AL |

| I know what you mean, RM.
With all this rain, I'm getting more behind all the time with the dirt work and general clean up I need to do.
And to add to it, I've noticed that the rain has been coming down the hill behind me and is beginning to undermine the concrete slab under my barn and shop.
I'll let you know when I eventually get around to tackling this footfeed.
Thanks for the heads-up on the problems involved with the installation.

| RM, to be honest, I've been too busy to get back to it.
I did notice, as you said, that the pedal rod is too long.
And the picture showing the throttle pedal assembly in the middle of the foot board, isn't going to work for me. I would be stepping on the throttle pedal assembly all the time while getting on and off the tractor.
I'm hoping I can move the throttle pedal assembly underneath the foot board and closer to the brake pedals. And in doing that, I'll probably have to tweak something else.
I'll probably just try to keep the linkage greased up all the time, and hopefully there won't be any noticeable wear.
Does your foot throttle work independant of your hand throttle?
When you let off the foot throttle, does it go back to your hand throttle setting? I'm hoping they work that way. I've heard the OEM's worked that way from the factory.
Thanks

| Ronnie mine does not go back to the hand throttle.I guess that is what the chain deal does and I left it off.Mine is all foot throttle. I have had 2 or 3 look at mine and had never heard of a foot throttle. They seem to like it.If it ever quits raining here for more than 1 day I have some dirt work to do then I will check it out more. The old 8N I had drove me crazy throttling it by hand.Sure hope this foot throttle turns out good. Ok take care we will be getting some nicer weather soon but we will also be getting tornados and that I dread.........R.M. In Al |
