have a 4500 backhoe 67 yr model, diesel eng. runs good but tranny and rear is junk, my question is will this eng. fit in a 3000 with a trashed eng ? |

| thanks, i didnt want to get into buying a bunch of parts to make it work,will be used for mowing so maybe the extra hp wont be an issue . |

| Rod is correct. It will bolt right in. You will need to change the clutch and probably the flywheel. Then you will want to be careful with it. 4000 engine is about 40% more HP than a 3000 so you could bust things in the rear. |
