I have a 53 ford Golden Jubliee I put new tires on rear and chains no balast weight , have a 6 ft scraper blade in back live in city hoping to get to some dirt soon before I get too old and die !! live on hill blacktop road get about a foot of snow some years once or twice a year Western Washington wet snow, put extra weight on front and on scraper blade, later will probably fill rear tires , would it help to put chains on front ? | I doubt you'll gain much with a chain on a tri-rib impliment tire... but with a truck tire, chains will help. Probably not a lot, but they do help. What you could do is stud the impliment tires if they're not too hard. I've seen that done and it works fairly well.Rod |
