JIM-NC 11-15-2009 16:21:56 69.19.14.27 457095 Report to Moderator	I have a 1955 850. The carb is a Marvel Schebler tsx-593. I purchased a carb kit for it. This old carb had a spring (wire like u shaped)that went under the float. I have worked on this thing for hours can can not figure out how it goes. Does anyone know? This attaches the float arm near the pivot to the needle valve such that the needle is much less likely to stick closed. It is especially important when modern gasoline and/or Stabil is used in a carburetor with a Viton tipped needle valve. The small U clips around the groove in the needle valve opposite the tapered end, while one side of the larger U slips over the float arm. Dean   [Reply]   [No Email]
