Moe 1 Hello,

Based upon your numbers, they work out to be a Ford 515 Industrial Utility Tractor, with a Diesel engine, Vertical exhaust, Independent 540 pto, with an 8Fx2R manual transmission.

Your unit was assembled on December 09, 1976, and your serial number confirms it to be a 1976.

Ford 515 were made from 1975-1978.

Be safe.

I believe that the 515 was made in the late 70's, and the hp was around 40 to 45. That serial number should be a late 1976 production date. If you have the other numbers from the bell housing just aft of the starter, we can determine the exact date of manufacture from the production code.
