I"m thinking of buying a 1arm loader for $150. I haven"t seen it in person, but here are a couple pics the seller sent me. Any obvious issues in the pics? And do the brackets look right for an 801 tractor? The condition of the hydraulic cylinder is unknown. THanks!

| Why did you take the pictures down? Folks read these forums for days after they first get posted and might have questions about these loaders themselves. For their sake I would ask that you put them back up if you could. Thanks |

| Regarding the pics, it just crossed my mind to check with the seller to make sure he didn"t mind I post them on this site. He has no problem with that, so they"re back. |

| Brackets are all there and correct. Box on the side of the loader looks like it 5 1/2" and will fit with those brackets on your tractor. Price is right. Buy it. |

Re: Advice on 1-arm Loader buy---- pics in reply to soundguy, 10-24-2009 22:01:22

| | Thanks Soundguy, I picked it up today for $100. Seller was a very nice guy and he helped lift it into my pickup, which was tricky. Also nice to have the brackets which I understand are often missing. Exept for rust, the rest is also in decent shape, though the bucket has seen some use with a gouge on the left side visible in the pic. With minor repair it could be good as new. I don't know about the condition of the hyd cylinder yet. I haven't extended the rod to see its condition. I may have to pick your guy's brains again regarding installation onto my 861. Those two big brackets might be obvious, but not sure about those two little ones yet. |

| I have a good cylinder here should you need it. Normally though those cylinders were always kept closed except when lifting and I have not seen one that was pitted or unuseable. $100? You stole it. |

Re: Advice on 1-arm Loader buy---- pics in reply to FarmerBlair, 10-25-2009 17:55:46

| | big bracket with the nub goes onthe side of the trans.. 3 bolts.. I like to chase the threads to get 50ys worth of dirt and paint out.. then install with at least gr5 bolts, if not grade 8. under bolster mount is also obvious.. same bolt recomendations. the smaller bracket.. the 'foot' installs to a tapped hole under the trans.. actually one of the harder connections to make.. but you will get it.. get the other 2 in.. ie.. the toe of the laoder into the front, then swing it over and get the nub pinned thru the box, then you can use a prybar or a helper to line up for the small foot bracket. if the cyl itself is ok but just needs seals.. shouldn't be too bad. I had one re-sealed for 60 bucks.. out of all the laoders I have.. only one has had to be resealed so far.. and it only had a nusiance leak as it was.. still lifted. havn't seen the pics to see if this is a trip dump loader.. or a hyd bucket model.. but you have plenty of options for installing it to your tractor hyds either via oem top cover valve, selectrol valve, or the cheap-n-dirty way by chaining the 3pt lift down and tapping hyds of fthe test port. post back a pic / some details. soundguy |

| | Here's a closeup of that thing (attachment point) on the vertical support. Does it look as it should on these loaders?

Ultradog and Soundguy--- another question in reply to FarmerBlair, 10-24-2009 18:43:03
|
| Just confirming these brackets I have. I noticed in an older post a picture that Ultradog had posted showing a set of 801 brackets sitting on that piece of wood. Those smaller pieces are almost the same length as the larger brackets.
But here is a another pic of my brackets, clearly showing them much smaller relative to those main brackets. Are these correct? Thanks

Re: Ultradog and Soundguy--- another question in reply to FarmerBlair, 10-26-2009 06:20:53
|
| | no sweat.. you are missing a foot bracket.. it's 100% torchable out of some 3/8 flat stock.. it just ties the base of the laoder to the bottom of the trans, and you have the small flat tab with 2 holes that goes with it so you can use 2 bolts as a stabilizer. the important bracket is the one with the nub on it.. it's hardest to duplicate.. the next important one is the front one with the hole.. it's torchable as well so you are ahead there. soundguy |

Re: Ultradog and Soundguy--- another question in reply to soundguy, 10-26-2009 06:43:54
|
| | Thanks Soundguy. Actually, in Ultradogs picture I can see 4 large brackets on that piece of wood. I only have 2 of them (not counting those little ones I have which are not in Ultradog's picture). You said I'm missing only 1 bracket...a foot bracket. What about that 4th one in Ultradog's photo. Is his setup for a different tractor (I want to install on an 861)? Thanks for your help. P.S. Do you or anyone have closeup pics of their brackets and loader attached to the tractor I could check out? |

Re: Ultradog and Soundguy--- another question in reply to FarmerBlair, 10-26-2009 15:44:31
|
| | you nee dthe front bracket with the hole you need the trans bracket with the nub you need the foot bracket that also has a lil strap that has 2 holes.. one one is doubled over thre foot bracket with a lil pipe spacer.. the other hole hits another hole int he bellhousing with a spacer for stability. technically there is a small strap that also bolts with the front bracket.. but half or more of the setups I see don't have them. so these can be considered 'minimum needed' soundguy |

| Thanks for taking the effort to spell it out for me Soundguy. I just need a good smack to straighten myself out!I contacted the seller to see if he has the foot bracket laying around. If not, I'll have to ask for specs on the right dimensions for making one. |

| here's what my notes say. "lower bracket. 3/8 plate.. width? 3" is fine.. this just is a sway attachment. center of hole to center of hole measurement is about 10 5/8 ".. this lets the loader frame be straight vertical.. use a level to double check this.. might be 1/8" off" soundguy |
