William Burt, Jr. 06-28-2009 02:03:56 71.31.244.150 Report to Moderator	I am trying to find pictures and information on two tractors ford built in the middle seventies. they where orange and called log hogs.. i think they where built in louisiana and where used primarily for skidding logs. they could be equiped with grapples or winches on the back and came with either a blade or shear on the front. does anyone know of these tractors???? Sean in PA 06-29-2009 03:21:44 155.94.62.221 Report to Moderator	I think that Log Hog was a separate company that bought tractors from Ford and fitted them with the forestry specific attachments and then sold them. A lot of companies modified Ford tractors like this and sold them with their own names on them. It was more cost effective than building their own tractors from the ground up, especially in niche markets where they couldn't sell enough units to make up for the cost of tooling up an entire assembly line. Most of them still said Ford somewhere on them, as they usually didn't spend the time or effort to repaint the entire unit.   [Reply]  [No Email]
