Graeme(Aust) 08-18-2012 05:03:39 121.220.45.30 Report to Moderator	The fuel tap on my TEA 20 is not closing off completely. After removal and dis-assembly, I notice the white plastic (nylon?) tap spindle appears well worn at the tip, which means it doesn't seal well against the shoulder in the die-cast body. New plastic spindles don't seem to be available, only complete assemblies with glass bowls. However, the plastic spindles look like the ones in the MF35/135 fuel taps, which are available at much lower cost. Does anyone know if the MF35 spindles are the same as the TEA 20 spindle. Or, does anyone have any suggestions about restoring the tap rather than replacement. Many thanks in advance for any advice. Charles in Aus. 08-18-2012 16:13:10 211.30.56.106 Report to Moderator	Re: TEA 20 fuel tap in reply to Graeme(Aust), 08-18-2012 05:03:39   This is possibly an after market repair kit, the pre filter on the fuel inlet is also nylon , these have most certainly been added on as the originals were made of a fine bronze mesh and soldered onto the inlet. Tractor wreckers often have these taps with broken bowl receiving rims that are almost useless, I would try finding one of these. [Reply]  [No Email]
