Bob , I am suffering brain fag from watching the Olympic games, the 'Bracket' is of course the diesel engine decompression lever !
Apologies , Charles

Bob , this one is a TEF , plate shows starting instructions for Kigass system, 'Lever' is some sort of bracket , nothing mechanically operational .

Charles.

What is the lever under the dash? Is that a hand throttle?

What is the plate attached to the right side of the dash?

Strange air cleaner inlet?

Bob

You can disconnect the top of the steering column complete with dash from the steering box and gearbox cover , then slide the box cover out from under the dash and steering turret, looks very strange when done but saves hours of fiddling

Put all the gears into neutral. If you cannot put all gears into neutral you probably have bent shifter fork(s)

You can take the gearbox cover off without removing the dash board, this may simplify the job a little
