Hi folks, this is just an update on how my tractor is working. I posted a few weeks ago about burning points and poor running of my tractor. With help from a few of you, especially John in Uk, I got the correct info for the point gap and the tractor is running great. I did find one thing though. I used a new set of AP products points and a new AP Products condenser. The condensers are just not very good. I replaced the condenser with a heavy duty set for a 1970 Chevy 6 cylinder car from Carquest auto parts and it's been running very well. The new condenser made an immediate and very noticeable improvement in the starting and running of the engine. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone who helped me out last time. |
