I am rebuilding dads TO- 20 can anyone tell me what the 1in. or so keyed hole in the block under starter is for. |

| The rubber boot rarely remains but should be replaced. There's stories of mice getting in and ruining the clutch with urine. |

| That"s the port for the timing marks. The OEM had a rubber plug in there (I have never seen one however.)and the notch is the timing index that you match to the marks on the flywheel |
