I have a 1949 HF TO-20 with a blade and a Wagner Iron works loader and I need to transport it. I was wondering for the trailers sake about how much the tractor w/ the loader and blade weigh?
It all runs and works great and was wondering what it would sell for if I had to sell it? Thank you
ps. I might need one new tire for the rear, what size are those?

Good warning John! In Australia trailers and trucks are regularly pullled over for inspection and to be weighed. The fines here are very expensive - I think $1,000 per tonne (2,250 pounds) or part thereof.

My Toyota Landcruiser Prado and factory tow bar is limited to 750 kg (1,650 pound) down load on the tow ball; 2,500 kg double axle trailer plus load weight (5,500 pound); I forget the individual wheel loadings and the two independent tie downs must have a breaking strains greater than double the load. Double axle trailers must have their own braking systems, electric, pneumatic or over-ride.

Just for comparison, I have a 1954 TO30 with a Wagner loader and 14.9 loaded tires. Tips the scales at 4400 pounds.

Besides what you have already been told about the weight of your tractor, you should check locally just what weight you are allowed to tow behind the vehicle you intend to use, don't forget that you have to add to the tractor weight, the weight of the trailer and anything else on it to make up the total gross weight...John

An early model TEA20 is 2,376 pounds and your TO20 would be similar. I transport my TEA20 on a double axle trailer behind my Toyota 4WD with no problems.

Rear tyres were originally 10.00 x 28 which I think is now an 11.2 x 28 in modern tyre sizes.

Check the tyre size on the other side - do not mis-match tyre sizes/circumferences.

The TO 20's originally had 11:00 X 28's which is now 12.4 X 28. The TO 20 weighs 2760 with out weight in the tires or fuel. I would think if you have a tandem axle trailer (not snowmobile type) you should probably be alright. If you have a single axle I wouldn't put my tractor on it. Richard
