Topic: What size bolt is it that takes oil filter cover plate off ?

it is a te20,the bolt i am talking about is the one at the bottom of the oil pan that has the plate that lets you get into the oil filter.it is way bigger than any sockets i have.i am going have to get one that fits it. |

| The gasket is 1/2 inch so it is probably a 1/2" bolt which would use a 3/4" socket. Give it a try. I'm just guessing now. Measure the head with a tape measure. |
