Got it. Playing as I write this. Delightful.

Thanks, Mark!

And my second question - where is your "Fort"?

Jack

Thanks, that is the correct song...only problem is the time runs out exactly when he sings, "like Ferguson Tractors..... .."

I'm in Fort Wayne, IN.
I found this out fellas, I sent an email to myself with the song (in mp3 format) as an attachment. I opened the attachment and my "music playin'" software automatically started playing the song.
I sent emails to the two other fellas who sent me thier address'. It this works for others, as it did myself, I'll gladly keep passing the song around to anyone interested...Mark

Hello Mark -

I'd appreciate hearing the song - where is it?

And I'm curious - what fort are you from?

I wish I could set-up a link for all to listen, but I'm sure there is some "legal" crap involved.
If you have the ability, or connections, have someone make you a copy of "Built to Last"
from Heartlands Greatest Hits.
The songs is about a toast to a 50 year anniversary and is about things built to last....
some of the lirics are: "here's to the maker of things built to last, -like churches and bridges -and baseball on grass.
Like Ferguson tractors and old Casey? boots.
-The Stars and the Stripes, my Daddy's old tools I still use.....
It really is a nice song, and they chose the right example of farm machinery.
I'll try to attach to email, but not sure if it will work. God bless, Mark

Heartland's greatest hits... they are a new group and only have the one album that came out last year. If you do a google search on Heartland and "Built to Last" 10,000 lyric sites will come up.

What is amazing though is that John Deere Tractors would fit just as well in the lyrics and perhaps been more commercially appealing.

I wonder if there is a personal story behind the choice for the lyrics, as Ferguson today is very obscure as a stand alone tractor. -outside thoes in the know, of course.
