My starter is bad on my TE 20. I know it is made by Lucas so what if any are the differences between this starter and the one on a TO 20 whidh is a delco Thanks Ivan |

| | The issue is the throw depth and engagement of the starter ring. I believe the TE has the ring gear on the fwd side of the flywheel, while the TO is mounted on the aft. This 1/2" difference is the issue. A TO starter will not dis-engage. Others will correct if my re-memory is off. |

| | Ivan, I have a TE20 that I put a TO20 starter on and it works fine. However, I seem to remember some discussion threads back a few months ago about potential problems with trying to interchange the T0 starter to the TE. It may have had to do with shimming the starter to get better clearance, but I"m not sure. I just remember comments that it was possible. You might try a search on the TE20 starter and find the threads. |

| So is the TE20 starter metric which I am guessing it is. Does the TO starter have any differences in the starter drive |

| The TE20 was made in the UK so finding the Lucas starter/generator is hard to fine here in the US.Delco Remy starter will work on the continental motor Z120 |
