Is there a good source for new 5/8" UNF bolts with the 1 1/16" head? Most all of the axle bolts on my ol' heap have either been replaced or are worn/rusted beyond what I consider to be safe. The nearest MF dealer is miles from me, and the parts guy I talked to there wasn't very helpful. Any ideas are appreciated,

BillL

I would have them made new in a machine shop. Take the old one in and new ones out.

Type in bolt depot in your search. Had good luck with these folks. Fast shipment too.

Go to fastenal.com and search structural bolts. They have 114 different varieties of 5/8 bolts with 1 1/16 heads on them, see if they have what you need. Generally, if a bolt was ever made, they can get it for you. Ive found a ton of oddball stuff there. The prices, usually far above oddball though.....

Unfortunately, the structural bolts are all coarse thread & I'm looking for fine thread. Thanks for the help, I'll bookmark the Fastenal site for future reference.

Only source I have found is in the UK.

http://www.ploughmyfield.com/2010/04/12/new-product-added/

5/8" UNF nuts with 1-1/16" across flats were available last year for 12 GBP for quantity of 10. Unfortunately, supplier only posted within UK (for free), so you have to organise a re-post or a courier.
