For the most part you can go on this site and tally up the cost from the parts site, overhaul kit, clutch, throw out bearing, gaskets,fluids,etc. Then there's the machine shop cost for hot tank, head rebuild kit installation, crankshaft reground etc.I did everything except the machining and spent upwards of $1700.He should discuss why he thinks it needs a rebuild, no power, skipping, oiling the plugs, clutch slipping etc.All may have a cheap and simple remedy.
