Only # I recognize is 25519 which is for TEA20 according to my notes. Lucas #for TE 20 should be 25505. Who built the engine? Continental or Standard Motors.

The tractor would have been negative ground but it shouldn't make any difference to the starter. Has there been a new bendix put on the starter?

Sounds like the teeth on the bendix aren't quite right for the ring gear. Or the ring gear is too close or something. I know they had a problem with the ring gears moving on the flywheel and later they came out with a step on the flywheel which eliminated that problem. Who was the bendix made by?
