I have a to35 4 cylinder diesel and am replacing the glow plugs but need to install resistor that is missing and am told is no longer available what should I do Vinny |

| | stock glow plugs run $60 or so each if you haven't bot them yet you might look in the archives here, LJD posted some good info about higher voltage replacements from Mercedes diesel the resistor is just a heavy duty wire wound one that can handle that heavy draw, I tried finding suitable wires to make one and gave up |

| Nichrome wire is suitable . It is a high resistance cutting wire used to form polystyrene shapes for sign writing , movie props and prototype mock ups . It should be available from art supply houses , could also be called hot wire or cutting wire. |
