Atleast this time, the leaves are almost all off the trees, and tropical temperature rain doesn't need to get shoveled. But yeah, a 12 volt sump pump is a fine investment in a wet cellar. When ex hurricane Irene hit Mass and Vermont, she swept the cellars and foundations out from under the houses! And that was without wind, just H2O no sump pump in the world would handle.
