Farmall Super FC power takeoff lever

I've lost the grub screw in my Super FC's power
takeoff lever. Can someone please tell me what the
specs are for this screw so I can look for a
replacement?
Thanks.

I'm not sure, sorry. I don't see a spring. My
tractor has a small lever (8-10" long) that goes
through a hole on a shaft that engages and
disengages the PTO. There's a grub screw that goes
through the shaft to keep the lever in place. The
assembly is in a unit directly under the driver's
seat.
Thanks.

You are talking about a French Super FC, correct?

Grub screw is known as a "set screw" in American.

There is surely nothing special about it. It is a standard size. A hex head bolt will make a suitable replacement.

Not knowing if it is SAE or Metric. It's probably SAE, and probably 1/4-20 or 1/4-28. But that's just a guess. I can't seem to find the PTO unit in the online parts books.

You may need to go to a hardware store and pick up several different bolts in that size range. It should not be expensive. Try them to find what fits.

Thanks. It's a French version, now in New Zealand.
I'll take your advice and look for a couple of SAE
set screws at a hardware store.

The US built versions of the C and Super C used a cotter pin to hold that lever. Most people on this web site won't be familiar enough with the details of the French version to give you a specific answer.
