Adjusting Valves

Yesterday I tried asjusting the valves on my 200. Did #1, but had a hard time doing the rest. Couldn't crank it even enough to land right. Is there any tricks to help me out? Pull all the plugs out? Can I adjust cold? Thanks for any help.

yes have plugs out. if doing cold have to add an extra .002 to the spec. best to warm it up remove valve cover and plugs the adjust. firing order is 1342 so that is the order to adjust cyl's. you actually watch each cyl's running mate . meaning once cyl. #4's valves are rocking ( one valve is closing and the other is just opening)that means #1 cyl. is on tdc of compression and ready to adjust. the to adjust #3 cyl. watch #2 cyl. valves to get them on the rock, and do this for the other 2cyl's till done.i always give the engine on last roll over with a final check.

Thanks everyone, got them adjusted. I had a hand crank, but got aggrevated at it hanging out toolbox one day. Put it somewhere unknown to me now!
