valve job on a Cub

I'm getting ready to have the valves and seats done on my Cub. I have the head, manifold and oil pan off. Do I have to remove the mag or front cover also. Never had to take a block in before for valves as this is the only tractor I own where the valves are not in the head.

I would just to ensure no grindings get into these areas that may cause an issue down the line. Only takes a few moments to remove and a good time to renew the seals and gaskets as well.

no you dont have to , but its your call if you want to replace gaskets. as long as he can get at valve springs to compress them.
