I was checking to see if I could get some help PLEASE. I have a farmall 140 and just bought a disk for it and when I pick it all way the disk is only about 1" off the ground, someone told me I could get something to go on the one point hitch to get it about 4 inches higher, but I don't know what it is or looks like. Thanks Mark

Try Google for "1 Point Fast Hitch Lift Arm Extension".

I'm not sure Farmall ever made these, but you see these quite often on Farmall Row crops here in the Southeast.

Also, there is small amount of adjustment obtained by adjusting the nut at the end of the rear lift rod.

Hope this help

Do you have the bar on the tractor that connects to the front of the fast hitch and goes to the right hand rockshaft arm? You need that to use the land plow, it is your depth control. you also need it to tip the fast hitch so you can tip the wheel harrow up in the rear. There is also a nut on the end of the rod that comes from the left rockshaft arm and connects with the rear fast hitch assembly, at the end of a big spring. You can take the wieght off the rod and take up on the nut, I think you can gain about 2 inches, it will help. But you really need the front piece.

Fever is correct. You need the draft control bar that goes from the front of the hitch bail to the front rock shaft on the right hand side. This allows you to control the hitch bar front to rear tilt using the touch control. This draft control bar is essential to use any ground engaging implements with the one point hitch.

D7FEVER, I not sure where you where you are talking about on this rod.". There is also a nut on the end of the rod that comes from the left rockshaft arm and connects with the rear fast hitch assembly, at the end of a big spring. We really don't know what you are dealing with. Pictures might help. Otherwise, most suggestions are little more than guesses.

Found a picture, will try to send it. the rod I am talking about goes from the right side rockshaft arm to the front yoke of the fast hitch, right under the brake pedals. hopefully this is the link

Sorry , guess I don't know how to put a clickable link on the site. I'll try again. I don't think it is working. I guess you will just have to type in the address.

Well, that doesn't work at all. google up "farmall 100", go to images , you will see a picture there of a side view with the draft control rod in place. Super A, 100, 140 all have the same attachments.

D7Fever, I coped and past the link you put on this post and went to images and are you talking about image #2 and the last image above right rear tire that spring there, is that the one you want me to tighten up. Thanks Mark

I'll try again, I found another picture. the draft control rod is in front of the driver, and goes between the rockshaft arm and the front of the yoke on the rear hitch, on the RIGHT side of the tractor, under the brake and clutch pedals. Not sure I can put in a clickable link, probably have to type it in.

This rod right above the fender. Think about what it will do when you tighten that nut. I just makes sense........

You also need the draft control rod which connects to the hydraulics on the other side. If you raise the lift all the way up, Move the other (right side) hydraulic lever backwards and it should tilt the implement up in the back.

You can purchase one of those add on things but it shouldn't be needed. I have an Owner's Manual for the Fast Hitcha and also shows you how to Attach it to the tractor and stuff. Let me know if you want to buy a copy.
