Last fall I posted a question about setting the end play on the bearings on a C-24-P mower's flywheel shaft. It had shims on the cover plate. Anyway Tuesday when I was up to the farm to replace then, you said you installed the bearings and then tapped on the end of the shaft to set the bearings. It worked like a champ!! When I first put the cover on and tightened it up, the shaft would not turn. So I tapped on the end and after 3 or 4 light taps the shaft turned nicely!! So I sealed it up and put it together. Putting the flywheel on was a real pain to drive it back onto the shaft!!!!
